Electric Picnic revellers invited to step into the surreal at ‘3Penthouse’

‘3Penthouse’ will surprise and delight the senses at Stradbally this summer

Three is bringing ‘3Penthouse’ to Electric Picnic. New to Stradbally this year, this exciting destination for festival-goers invites you to step inside, free the mind and get lost in a surreal imaginarium to surprise and delight the senses.

The custom built, five-area penthouse is designed by Irish artist, Maser, and features his signature yellow, blue, pink and orange chevrons which have adorned some of the world’s most famous festival installations. 3Penthouse will inspire festival-goers to immerse themselves in the surreal artwork and step out of the ordinary with a host of unexpected experiences throughout the weekend.

Music lovers can dance the day and night away as the resident DJ host a house party away from home in the ‘Living Room’ of 3Penthouse. The off-kilter design invites festival-goers to embrace the unusual as Maser’s wacky designs decorate the walls and floor.

Those in need of some downtime can chill in ‘The Garden’, a space surrounding 3Penthouse, which provides the perfect place to kick back and relax. Daily yoga classes will deliver a dose of Zen, or those feeling playful can challenge their friends to Lawn Twister or giant Paint-Pong.

Festival-goers that want to flex their creative muscles can indulge in some screen printing, hand pressing their favourite Maser designs straight onto tote bags and t-shirts in The Kitchen.

For selfie-friendly icnickers, The Bedroom will also house a photobooth built into the ceiling. Music fans will have to embrace the absurd and lie on the ground to strike a pose for the perfect pic, before their selection of snaps fall from the sky as a memento.

Upstairs, ‘The Balcony’ will provide the perfect viewing platform to the main stage, giving festival-goers a bird’s eye view of their favourite acts. Surrounding the walls of the balcony guests will find special smartphone lenses designed to give different viewing perspectives of the main stage. For the headline acts every night, The Balcony’s access will be exclusive to members of 3Plus, Three’s impressive rewards programme.  Members can book their space via the 3Plus app, downloadable at Three.ie/Plus. These coveted spaces can be booked once Electric Picnic’s highly-anticipated stage times are announced.

There will be two charging stations on site to ensure a full, connected experience for everyone at the Picnic.  The charging stations, which will be powered by Three, can be found in the late night arena (access from 10am) and in the main arena (open daily from 12pm.) Three customers registered for 3Plus can benefit from a fast-track queue to ensure a speedy turnaround.

In the run up to Electric Picnic, 3Plus will also deliver amazing offers for Three customers who have the chance to win a host of VIP prizes, including weekend tickets, taking them from behind the scenes to the side of the stage.
