Three introduces new Three Prepay broadband Surf Kits
Three, Ireland’s largest high speed network, today announces the launch of a new prepay broadband offering, Three Surf Kits. The Three Surf Kits feature a Prepay broadband Sim card and modem, preloaded with data for a set time, and tailored to a range of internet users for the ultimate in convenience. The pricing is dependent on the device selected and the Three Surf Kits will be available in all 3Stores and selected stockists and online at Three.ie, from Friday 25th November 2011.
There are 3 Surf Kits* available; Light, Active and Pro – 2GB, 6GB and 12 GB with expiry dates of 1 month, 3 months and 6 months:
- Surf Kit Light – 2 GB of data for one month with a modem price from €39 or MiFi for €79
- Surf Kit Light Active – 6 GB of data for three months with a modem price from €79 or MiFi for €119
- Surf Kit Pro – 12 GB of data for six months with a modem price from €99 or MiFi for €139
With no sign up or contract, the user can simply plug-in and surf using the data preloaded onto the Three Surf Kit until they have consumed their allocation, or the data period has expired. Once the user’s usage has expired they can top-up and buy an add-on in exactly the same way they normally do.
The Surf Kits offer users the chance to work to a budget, change to a less regular payment method and control their bills, making them ideal for those who want to switch from a fixed line to broadband without a contract, or for those who don’t yet have broadband. In addition, they will appeal to users who want the benefit of mobile for occasional use to supplement or back up a fixed broadband connection.
For lighter users who want to be able to dip in and out of the internet over a longer period of time, the Surf Active and Pro Kits provide a convenient hassle-free pre-packaged solution. The Huawei E122 is an everyday modem and suits most internet users, whilst the Huawei E1820 with Surf Kit Active, is ideal for heavy internet users who are looking for faster upload and download speeds and more online surfing time.
Commenting on the launch, PR and Communications Director, Rachel Channing at Three, said: “Our new Three Surf Kits are tailored to suit a wide range of internet users from occasional surfers to heavy internet users, allowing customers to control their bills without being tied down to a contract. They represent real value for money, with each Surf Kit coming fully loaded with data so there’s no need to top up, making them a really convenient and easy to way get on the internet and start surfing today.”
In recent months, Three has launched a number of ground–breaking initiatives including Ireland’s first ‘All you can eat’ data offering on Postpay and now on Prepay, allowing customers to surf for free, with no excess charges. Three is proud sponsor of the Irish National football team and the Football Association of Ireland. Three’s “Dare to Dream” affinity scheme offers Football Association of Ireland-affiliated clubs across the country the chance to earn cash when their members switch to Three which helps support the development of grass roots football. The bundles will be available to customers on the existing affinity deals such as the GRA and FAI schemes.
