Limerick businesses save 35% on bills with 3
3, Ireland’s fastest growing network, today announced its first major rugby club partnership with a three year sponsorship of the UL Bohemians.
UL Bohemians, who are at the top tier of the All-Ireland League, play the majority of their league matches at Thomond Park but also use “Annacotty” as their second pitch and training ground. The boys in red and white can also be seen now sporting the 3 logo on their jerseys.
Commenting on the sponsorship agreement Ted Milcahy, President UL Bohemian RFC:
“We are delighted to have 3 on board as our new main Club Sponsor. 3 is a very progressive company, leading the way in business in both mobile and broadband services. UL Bohs is also seen as a progressive club, now competing at the top flight of club rugby following on from a very successful season last year winning no less than 14 trophies and with players being represented on both provincial and Irish Rugby teams. Both 3 and UL Bohs have similar objectives of being at the leading edge of their respective fields. We wish 3 every success and we look forward to our association being fruitful for both parties.”
Limerick native Elaine Carey, Sales and Marketing director at 3 who was in Limerick for the launch added:
“We are delighted to be able to announce the sponsorship of such a distinguished club as UL Bohemians. 3 is a young and dynamic brand looking to build a reputation as the mobile network of choice for all sports fans. We have been hugely successful with our new 3 Irish Open sponsorship and other associations such as Waterford United. 3 is not just a brand on a jersey – we bring innovation, energy and creative thinking to the partnership and we will be right behind the UL Bohs team all the way. We’re really excited about our first move into rugby sponsorship and we’re delighted to announce that 3 is now officially UL Bohs’ biggest fan. Thank-you to the team and all the supporters for choosing 3.”
To celebrate the sponsorship 3 and UL Bohemians RFC are holding a drinks reception at Thomond Park on Wednesday 21st October, where one lucky guest will win two hospitality tickets to the Ireland v South Africa match in Croke Park and an overnight stay at the Mespil Hotel.
3 play an integral role in sport sponsorship in Ireland, particularly in golf and soccer. They are sponsors of Waterford United and The 3 Irish Open, which is returning to Killarney in 2010. Following Shane Lowry’s victory at the 2009 tournament in Baltray, 3 became one of his first sponsors, supporting Ireland’s latest golfing talent. 3 has also sponsored Ireland’s top golfer, Padraig Harrington, at several Majors and are delighted to continue to show their commitment to golf at all levels in Ireland. In addition to this 3 has also sponsored the Irish Mixed Foursomes, the Irish Ladies Open Stroke Play and The Irish Colleges Golf Association.
