‘I’ll show you mine, if you show me yours”

Three asks fans to share personal data with celebs & WIN daily

Dublin: Tuesday 31st August 2012 – Three, Ireland’s largest high speed network, launches their exciting new Facebook App today, Three ‘Hub Talk’ #3HUBTALK – a unique space where some of Ireland’s favourite celebrities will be revealing EXCLUSIVE content via their own Facebook and Twitter pages.

At #3HUBTALK (www.facebook.com/3Ireland) fans will get the chance to interact with some of Ireland’s best-known personalities and most controversial stars including Roz Purcell, Bernard Dunne, Pippa O’Connor, Conor Mortimer and (the not-so-real) Marty Morrissey! Each day, through their own Facebook and Twitter accounts, the celebs will post a link to the #3HUBTALK app, where they will reveal an exclusive personal video or picture. Fans will then upload their own version of the video/picture in order to win a whole host of daily, weekly & grand prizes. Our celebrities will each select a winner at random based on how entertaining the data shared is.

Prizes up for grabs daily include Samsung Galaxy Minis, official Republic of Ireland jerseys and €20 top-up vouchers. Everyone who enters the app, even if it’s just for a nosy at the celebrity content, will be in with the chance to win the grand prize of a brand new Samsung Galaxy S III with bill paid for a year* and two VIP tickets to see Ireland take on Germany in their World Cup qualifying game in October with an overnight stay including dinner in a top Dublin hotel.

Three customers don’t have to worry about data charges on Prepay and can email & upload as much content as they like to #3HUBTALK without additional data charges*. For just €20 minimum top up, Three’s Prepay plan includes free “All you can eat” data, unlimited any network texts, weekend minutes and free Three to Three calls.

To celebrate their current Prepay offer, Three is offering the Samsung Galaxy Mini from just €69 on Prepay from 1st August 2012 with Three’s “All you can eat” data price plans, giving unlimited internet usage with no excess data charges*. The Samsung Galaxy Mini, Samsung’s ‘Android for Everyone’ Smartphone will be available from all 3Stores and stockists and online at Three.ie.

Commenting on the launch Bernard Dunne said: “Three ‘Hub Talk’ is a really clever idea from Three. It not only gives fans a chance to interact with each other in a fun and competitive way, it also means they can win really great prizes every single day. I’m a big Twitter and Facebook fan so it’s cool to intertwine the two. It’s also great for Three customers to be able to use their phone to upload data without any charges!”

Commenting on the launch, Sales and Marketing director, Elaine Carey at Three, said: “We’re very excited to be launching Three ‘Hub Talk’ to promote our latest prepay offer. The Hub will be the perfect place for our customers to come to make great use of our ‘All you can eat’ data offering by sharing all sorts of content. From Wednesday 1st August, as well as having a place to come and share exclusive content, Three Prepay customers can snap up the Samsung Galaxy Mini on Prepay for just €69, an amazing price for a great Smartphone, with the ‘All you can eat’ data plan allowing Three Prepay customers to make the most of its enhanced social media functionality.”

Three has launched a number of ground–breaking initiatives in recent months. As well as being the first and only mobile operator in Ireland to offer ‘All you can eat’ data, Three are also the only mobile operator in Ireland to offer customers the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S III for FREE on all its Flex Max 24 month plans.

Three is heavily involved in sports sponsorship, being the primary sponsor of the Irish National football team and the Football Association of Ireland. Three’s “Dare to Dream” affinity scheme offers FAI-affiliated clubs across the country the chance of earning cash when their members switch to Three. The more people that switch through the club, the more money the club earns as a cash bounty, to help with the support and development of grassroots football.
