Exclusive All You Can Eat data plans make Three most “Desirable” operator for sought-after device

Three, Ireland’s largest high speed network, today announced that it will launch the sleek and stylish HTC Desire S next week, the follow-up to the original and successful HTC Desire.

The HTC Desire S is available from free on Bill Pay, with Three’s exclusive “All you can eat” data plan, giving customers unlimited internet usage with no excess data charges. The handset will be available from Wednesday, the 25th of May in all 3Stores and stockists as well as online at three.ie.

Aesthetically, the handset is smaller than the Desire, at 115 x 59.8 x 11.63 mm and 5g lighter at 130g weight. The aluminium “unibody” case has forward-sloping edges on the front of the handset, providing a comfortably secure grip and is available in graphite from Three.

The HTC Desire S launches on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), the latest iteration of Android, and is the first of HTC’s new handsets to launch with this version. 7 home-screens can be viewed on the spacious 3.7 inch Super LCD display, with an array of eye-catching widgets available to the user.

Key handset features include a 5MP camera and HD video recorder to capture and replay everyday memories in crystal clear clarity. To zoom in on a screen, simply pinch the screen to move in or out of a page and watch the text re-flow automatically to perfectly fit the display.

Commenting on the launch, Eoin MacManus, Commercial Director at Three, said: “The HTC Desire S is ideal for anyone looking for the latest in Android technology and joins our market-leading range of Smartphones. When combined with our exclusive ‘All you can eat’ data price plans, Three customers can be confident of getting the most compelling and competitively priced Smartphone packages on the market.”

Three has launched a number of ground–breaking initiatives in recent months including Ireland’s first All you can eat data tariffs which allow customers to surf for free, with no excess data charges.
