Three, Ireland’s largest high speed mobile network and official National Broadband Scheme provider, is announcing the creation of ‘33’ new jobs as the latest independently-owned 3Store opens, bringing to six the number of stores opened to date this year. Over the next three months a further four independently – owned stores will open around the country. Three announces further €38m investment in Ireland with new BT contract

Associated press release: Investment into Three’s network will vastly increase bandwidth countrywide and will facilitate speeds up to 100Mb

Three announce a €38 million contract with BT, which will see BT’s fibre network rolled out to over 200 new mobile sites and support to a further 1,000 sites that currently serve Three’s customer base. These sites are located nationwide and include Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway cities and counties. The roll-out of this fibre network, which will take place over the next 18 months, will allow higher broadband speeds enabling Three to deliver up to 100Mb per second to facilitate the demands of data-savvy Irish consumers.
